MEANWHILE

ASSISTANT EDITOR & MOTION DESIGNER

I managed and organized a large volume of media across multiple formats and years of production, including syncing footage, creating proxies, and maintaining project integrity from ingest through final conform. I handled archival workflows end-to-end (transcoding, organizing, clearing, and integrating over 600 assets), while coordinating closely with the Archival Producer. My role also included preparing the project for color correction and sound design.

Creatively, I supported the edit by pulling selects, sourcing sound bites and music options, and contributing with motion design elements such as animated lower thirds and archival stills.

ABOUT THE FILM

MEANWHILE is a docu-poem in six verses about artists breathing through chaos. In dynamic collaboration, Jacqueline Woodson (text), Meshell Ndegeocello (soundscape), Erika Dilday (support), M. Trevino (structure), and Catherine Gund (direction), combine artists’ expressions with historical and observational footage to unveil a rare cinematic meditation about identity, race, racism and resistance as they shape our shared breath.
